Bucharest March 2017

When Miller Brothers was commissioned on a special project using semiprecious stone, we made a visit to the capital city of Bucharest to research and source the bespoke material.

Part of nature’s repertoire, these stones are exceptional raw masterpieces that have been admired and appreciated since ancient times. They have been classified by their gems under the renowned name of semiprecious stones and come in an infinite array of colours and depths.

These semiprecious stone express the essence of elegance, class and beauty. Suitable for kitchen & bathroom surfaces, work surfaces, counter tops, floors, walls, furniture, special features and more.

Below is a small selection of the semi precious stones we found.

Petrified wood (from the Greek root petro meaning "rock") or quite literally "wood turned into stone" which is the name given to a special type of fossilized remains of terrestrial vegetation. It is the result of a tree having completely transitioned to stone by the process of permineralization. Black Petrified Wood now available at Miller Brothers Stone.
